situation, needs and opportunities.

Introduction
An excellent corporate communication proposal or campaign is directly linked to the
overall business objectives and strategies. Every time directs a need for change in the
organization structure and goals, the differences must be addressed and communicated to the
organization accurately and effectively. The organization's success and reputation depend on
how well communication is established between the internal and external Audiences. An
effective communication plan is an end to end plot for delivering strategic information to key
audiences and stakeholders to drive a positive outcome of the situation analyzed. HCT is

strategies. Effective time management skills and class attendance contributes to the overall
academic performance, thus should be given a top priority in the institution. I devised a personal
communication plan for time management and class attendance students.
Situation Analysis/ SWOT analysis
Time management for HCT students is an area of concern that has raised concern among
the school instructors, and the administration. Poor time management and failure to attend to
classes contributes to the student’s poor performance. Efficient time management approaches
need to be implemented to enhance students to manage their assignments, attend classes on time,
and have enough time to prepare for their exams. Devising an application where students sign in
for class attendance is helpful to encourage students not to attend to classes.

Stakeholders Analysis
The stakeholders are the most valuable assets in the organization. The aim is to identify
key stakeholders in the institution, analyzing their opinions towards various strategies to be
implemented within the organization. Time management approach implementation within the
school requires stakeholder’s analysis. Key stakeholders include;
i. Internal audience; non-teaching stuff, instructors, and students
ii. External audience; community, and parents
I consider each stakeholder's opinion based on the issue to analyze and predict the
possibility of implementing strategy for time management and class attendance within the

school. All opinions regarding the strategy to improve student’s time management skills depend
on various stakeholders opinions.
Objectives
To implement a successful communication strategy, I devised objectives linked to the
situation analyzed. As an HTC student and I set SMART objectives; Specific, Measurable,
Achievable, Realistic, and Time-focused. Goals set for the plan are;

To implement time management strategies for students
To ensure 100% students attendance to lectures
To create awareness on importance of proper time management for students
To create awareness on the importance of class attendance
Utilize relevant communication strategies to enhance effective communication to
students within the institution
To mitigate the perception of arising from poor time management
Target Audience
The target audience is the students, parents, and instructors in HCT institution. Students
are the key focus, with implementation if time management strategies, students will highly
benefit from the strategy. With development of student app, instructors will be able to check
student’s class attendance. The institution is committed to ensure excellence academic
performance and with implementation of an app for students to sign in for class attendance will

contribute to the overall class attendance among students. Instructors will benefit from the app,
as they can take the number of students absent.
Strategy: communication channels and tactics
It is essential to draw communication information and insights after the realization of the
feedback from the conducted surveys and brainstorming questions to students and the overall
support stuff in the company. The feedback helps determine the most effective strategy to apply
to ensure that the topic is well understood and familiar in the institution. Meetings and face to
face meetings are suitable to help avoid personal resistance to change. I will utilize the paper
communication channel to familiarize the students on the positive side of time management and
class attendance. Handouts, paper prints, placing fliers on bulletin boards and notice boards
where the topic is most likely to be read by all students. School website is successful to ensure
the faster spread of information to all students and instructors. Also, the institution social media
page to post the objectives of the topic and help build a collaborative culture across the
organization. Designing a magazine with the problem statement will be a fruitful tactic to
familiarize the students with the positive impacts of time management. Posters are also helpful
in spreading information within the organization. I utilized various channels to communicate the
message to the institution stuff through presentation to college committee, emails.
Timeline
Having a full view of the various communication channels and tactics to implement the
plan, and proper timing to go along, it is essential for me to have a project tracker, time table to
work from. The tracker or time guidelines will help me plan when the specific communication
strategy is effective. Implementing time management communication plan within the

organization is scheduled from the beginning of the first term to be able to portray results of
proper time management in the student’s performance. An effective time management calendar
will help students to put in to consideration particular duration targeted for a particular activity
and ensure the recording is properly done on the table. Time table will enhance students to attend
classes on time by ensuring each activity estimated time is utilized and if extended the time
should be recorded. How many hours you should sleep, time to prepare, to commute to schools,
lunch duration, assignment duration, and leisure time should be allocated specific duration.

The budget includes the overview of financial structure and to estimate the overall
resources incorporated in the implementation of the plan. Also, I need to budget for all capital
required to implement the communication strategies, to make posters, magazines, fliers to
effectively communicate the topic to the organization and the entire audience. Attaining the
required finance for airtime, printing the magazines and fliers require to be budgeted in the plan. I
devised a realistic financial plan and obtained relevant raw materials from the school and through
my parents support. The budget will account for all required materials for the campaign and
relevant source of funding.

Implementing a personal communication plan HCT to facilitate effective time management
for students and ensure students attendance to class. Use of posters, institution website and social
medial page is very effective to increase student’s awareness on importance of time management
and class attendance to improve academic performance. Majority of the students fail to attend to
classes, do not possess necessary time management skills which result to poor academic
performance. Various students declined the implementation of an app where students will need to
sign in for class attendance. The target audience declining to offer feedback on the issue and
showing disinterest in the raising global concern in their institution had been an initial challenge
during plan production. Financial resources had been a challenge but with realization of resourceful
organization to provide material and finances resolved the problem. Utilization of effective
communication strategies and tactics to create awareness on the impact of time management and
class attendance through the use of posters was fruitful to help change the overall perspective of
time management. Funds from the institution facilitated the implementation of the required
approach for communication in the plan.
