Several scholars across the globe define the term globalization as a course of coming
together and conducting trade among organizations, and individuals across different nation
boarders (Mandaville, 2007, P. 106). On mentioning of the word globalization, economic aspect
is what rings to the mind of many people and even a section of scholars. However, it is important
to note that globalizations cut across different aspects, which include economy, politics, religion,
as well as culture. The origin of globalization traces back to a period prior to emergence of world
war one. The thing that is responsible for the advancement of globalization in the contemporary
society is advance technological ideas and innovativeness of the current societies (Scholte,
2007).
The western world or society values globalization as a source of generation of high
profits, but at time they become extremists in the globalization aspect. The contemporary Arab
world is unavoidable as well when one wants to evaluate globalization in the current society,
because it has some of the natural resources that include oil and affiliated products that are core

evidence that the inhabitants of that place value economic globalization, because they are found

alarming rate. Christianity leads in the list, because it has several believers followed by Muslim
and others (Mandaville, 2007, P. 114). The main factor that leads to globalization in the aspect of
religion is emigration of individuals who are of an opposing faith into new countries, which are
green in that faith. Research conducted in most regions including the United Arab Emirates
reveals that individuals who subscribes to a religious faith tend to abide by the law and
universally accepted code of conduct as opposed to the non-believers.
Despite the several positive impacts of globalization, there is still aside that the
inhabitants of the Middle East consider very dark in nature as well as action. It is the aspect of
capitalism as the Arabic nations view it as interference to their religious codes that value
socialism and equality (Scholte, 2007). Capitalism is contrary to their accepted social life as it
aids in individualistic ideas and vices that include corruption and other similar activities that can
lead to killing and elimination of each other as every individual wants to succeed on his own
without considering the desire, wants, and the life situation of the entire society (McDonough,
Reich, & Kotz, 2010). The inhabitants of the middle east nations advocates for collectivism and
have a strong belief that not considering the welfare of others is not only, a vice but also an evil
that deserves serious punishment.
However, it is important for the contemporary world to note that the Arab society is not
what it used to be as it now contains individuals who even ascribe to different faiths from the
Muslim and they co-exist peacefully, though with a little suspicion of the emerging terror threats
and huge activism activities. The first thing that each individual must know about the Arabic
nations is the fact that they are strongly against major western beliefs and also have several

activist organizations that are so radical and at times this results to negative aspects that major
part of the world have towards them.
How Multiculturalism Addresses Key Challenge in the World Today
The word multi means many, while culture stands for a group of people that descend or
hail from a similar society with same beliefs as well as social norms (Beckford, 2003).
Multiculturalism is therefore a combination of the two words and it simply means living together
of several cultures or individuals from diverse cultural background within one sphere without ill-
treatment or aspect of superiority or inferiority.
The current world is diverse and different people have different skills that help in
different places and are core for the overall success of any company or organization as well as
the individual parties. It is important to note that integration or working together enhances the
quality of products that a company takes to the market as well as peaceful coexistence of the
entire world population (Beckford, 2003). However, the main challenge remains that some
individuals from “able” background view themselves as superior and rely on a utopia that their
ideas are superior in comparison to the ideas of others who hail from the contrary backgrounds.
The study of multicultural insists on some of the religious teachings that human beings
are equal and the idea of each count for the overall success of the entire system. A notable
example that this study uses to enhance human reasoning is an illustration of putting two
individuals with the same reasoning capacity as well as problems in a cage (Heppner, 2006, P.
153). The results is that they will not help each other as they do not have any unique features and
distinction and will talk or concentrate on the obvious things. Multicultural existence in a work

individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Multicultural studies also insist that if people from different cultures coexist peacefully
under a single jurisdiction then there is possibility of emergence of conflict, war, or even strong
negative radical groups that threatens the development diverse sectors of the economy as well as
the living standards of various individuals, because they will automatically have a strong and
peculiar purchasing power. The main thing that this study wants to eliminate on the world sphere
is differential treatment based on culture and other related factors in the job or residential places
and advocate for the aspect of equality as the aspect of diverse cultures adds a flavor to existence
(Kymlicka, 2007).
Apart from culture aspect, multicultural studies also consider the aspect of different
culture peaceful coexistence in a single area (Heppner, 2006, P. 171). The world contains
different religions which contains the same thing but in different religious books and they are
always at loggerheads. It advocates for acceptance of all regions and let each fight it out to
convince the potential believers on why it believes to be the best in comparison to other variety
of religions that exist in the society. Peaceful coexists of religion and advocacy for peace is a
strong pillar for development in the society (Kymlicka, 2007).
