Impact Of the Creation of Artificial Intelligence On Human Existence
Write an argumentative essay with the topic of (in the future, will the creation
of artificial intelligence which can regulate itself to human extinction?)
— requirements that i need, it is not stated how many words are
needed in the essay but 5 full paragraphs with the required information
are enough.

Introduction
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is systems or machines that exceed or match the intelligence
of humans and animals in many aspects of interest. The many aspects of our daily lives that are
likely to be controlled by the AI, include transportation where autonomous cars will be used to
ferry people, manufacturing industries, healthcare, education, media, customer service among
other fields that are holistically occupied by humans. There has been an argument on the future
of AI, with proponents of AI asserting that in the future that the creation of AI that can regulate
itself will lead to the human extinction as opposed to the opponents of the AI who do not believe
that AI can lead to extinction of humans in the near future. Despite its constant growth, AI is
expected to be used in many sectors of our daily lives, but I believe it will be difficult for it to
lead humans into extinction. This essay forms an argument of the creation of artificial
intelligence that can regulate itself in the future and whether it can lead to the extinction of the
human race from the face of the earth.
Argument on Whether Artificial Intelligence Can Lead To Human Extinction
According to Stockley (2015), Oxford researchers believe that Ai could make the human
race extinct from the face of the earth, as extreme AI could not be controlled easily as some
groups might take over their creation thus using the technology as a weapon against other nations
mainly by including the nanotechnology and synthetic biology as part of the risks. The AI
machines are poised to do a lot of beneficial work to the human race and if well managed, they
might indeed help humans to perform most of the tasks leading to enhanced innovation, but if
not well managed, the technology might go astray and become a real danger to the existence of
human being. The argument is that humans who will be limited by the slow biological evolution

will not be able to compete with AI; thus the technology is most likely to supersede the human
ability.
It is believed that AI will soon be able to achieve many goals in a wide range of
environments, for example in the technological invention, instead of humans doing such tasks,
the invention will be dedicated to machines, tasks such as weather forecasting and other science
base practices will be taken over by AI. According to Sandberg and Bostrom (2008), AI needs
to understand the mechanisms of general intelligence to use human intelligence software already
invented by evolution. Even though the creation of Artificial Intelligence that can regulate itself
is expected to take root by 2050 or by 2100, it is argued by the opponents of the AI that even
though it will be possible to acquire the hardware sufficient for the AI, it won't be easy to come
up with a software that will be able to solve most of the aspects that are done by humans.
While the argument about the creation of an AI that can regulate itself leading to human
extinction is valid and raises important issues that need to be discussed and factored in as the
world advances towards the creation of a super-intelligent AI; it is essential to ask the proportion
of human abilities that can be achieved by the AI and how fast the machines can catch up. The
human race has some distinct features that cannot be manipulated by any technological
invention, features like acquired social skills such as expressing emotions such as anger,
happiness, and other expressions. This is an indication that despite the AI being a reality, it might
still be difficult for it to replace humans in many environments. AI replacement of biological
humanity in the future will always be difficult as AI machines make use of the programs that
have been programmed to do, they do not operate on its own, and the world being a global
village, the world bodies will soon come up with regulations that will guide the creation of AI

technology. In today's world, there are dangerous weapons such as nuclear weapons held by
some nations and have the ability to extinct the human race, but they have not been used to do so
because the world firmly controls the usage of such weapons. Tegmark (2016) argues that if AI
is programmed to do something devastating, it can be dangerous. Still, if at the same time is
processed to do something beneficial, then it becomes advantageous to the human race, thus the
need to regulate the industry and make sure that only the useful aspect of the AI is adopted by
the world.
Conclusion
The world's future is in the AI with most industries affected by the narrow AI that has
been modeled by the machines that are used in these sectors making it hard for us to ignore the
presence of AI in our day to day lives. Proper utilization of AI will improve the human race right
from the health care, manufacturing sectors, transportation and in all other aspects of the human
race. The creation of an AI that can regulate itself is a reality, with predictions being few years to
come, but this should not be a reason to worry about the human intelligence, rather, we should
adopt the positivity’s provided by the AI and regulate it in future making it difficult for it to
affect the existence of the human race. If well managed, AI is more beneficial to humans and the
development of AI machines that can regulate themselves will not lead to human extinction,
rather it would lead to a world of possibilities leading to more prosperity among the human race.
