teaching process. Consequently, the exercise increases the cognitive purpose of an individual

One of the weaknesses of the visual learning style is distractions from activities that are
happening within their environment like when they see activity out of the window, and they tend
to shift attention. Besides, colorful presentations are other distractions that visual learners face
while in the classroom as they begin picturing the unusual items rather than concentrate on the
actual presentation (Insight Resources & Daniels, 2019). Additionally, visual students dedicate
much of their time learning through visual thus, tasks that require muscle memory becomes
challenging for them to grab or familiarize with.
Additionally, since these learners acquire information that is visually represented to them,
they face a challenge of listening to directions that are auditory and not written. When lectures
present notes in speech form, the visual learners tend to grab very little or lose concentration as
there is nothing to picture in their mind. As their concentration level reduces, learning becomes
difficult for them, and they end up giving lectures a hard time since one needs to repeat the
concepts severally for them to understand (Gilakjani, 2011).

Goals to improve one’s Academic Perception.

The first goal is to research on subjects that are controversial and seem hard to
understand within the first attempt of study. It will, therefore, save me from having doubts and
elaborate more evidence from books and articles. When learning materials seem hard to
understand as well, approaching teachers is another considerable measure to broaden the
knowledge and leave no room for assumptions. The second goal is to encourage me to engage in
all group discussions and academic activities taking place inside and outside the school. This will
promote confidence and allow an individual to improve skills or talents while expressing
opinions and sharing ideas (Valle et al., 2009). The other goal is to overcome failures through
optimistic thoughts while embracing failures and formulating ways that will effectively solve
them by approaching them with confidence.
Therefore, the process will ensure that the solutions I expressed will prevent a recurrence
of similar failures. The fourth goal is to learn to leave toxic relationships that have adverse
effects on my learning activities. In turn, my friend list will entail individuals who have similar
goals and intentions of encouraging the learning process. Lastly, the fifth goal is to never settle
for less but instead keep trying to excel in school projects. Therefore, I will not take any
discouraging comments from anyone as I will exert additional effort to explore more on the
modules that are challenging.
Task 4
Steps to Improve Academic Perception
The steps I will plan to better my academic perception include distinguishing my strong
and weak parts when it comes to matters related to learning. After knowing myself, I will work
on my weak parts to pull them up and lift the strong parts to become the best in those areas.

Later, the next step I will take is to have a positive attitude towards learning, the school
environment, teachers and my fellow students. This will motivate me to work with everyone and
stay focused to achieve excellent learning skills and build friendly relationships. Afterwards, the
third step will comprise open communications with everyone to promote the sharing of ideas and
learning new things or items that I have difficulties understanding (Kashyap, 2015). Then I will
empathize with others to avoid being a hindrance to their academic goals, thus saving time on
my side, which I will use to study. Lastly, I will introduce diversity management programs like
generating a timetable and allocating specific module enough time of the study.
